Protection, without the theatre.
Packaging should do its job, carry the brand quietly and stop when the job is done.
Our packaging direction is paper-led, restrained and tactile. We prefer fewer layers, uncoated surfaces and quiet printing rather than glossy finishes or decorative components that add little function.
Wrap.
Tissue or paper-based protection, used only where it helps keep the garment clean and presented.
Close.
Paper stickers, belly bands or kraft paper tape are preferred over unnecessary plastic closures.
Protect.
Outer packaging is selected for transit performance first. A damaged product is not responsible packaging.
Does CULM claim every packaging component is recyclable everywhere?
No. Local collection systems differ. We describe materials as accurately as we can and avoid universal disposal claims where the infrastructure is outside our control.
Why avoid glossy finishes?
Because the CULM visual language is built around raw, matte and tactile surfaces. The packaging should feel consistent with the garment rather than behave like a separate luxury object.
Why use fewer inserts?
Every additional card, sleeve and layer needs a reason. We prefer combining useful information—story, care and traceability—rather than adding packaging simply to create volume.
