CULM — QUESTIONS / 03
Frequently Asked Questions
Direct answers about CULM, hemp clothing, fibre composition, garment care, sizing, traceability, shipping and returns.
01What is CULM?+
CULM is a clothing brand built around a small, deliberate wardrobe and clear material information. Our design principles are honest, enduring and quiet, with hemp and other considered fibres forming an important part of the material direction. Read About CULM.
02What is hemp fabric?+
Hemp fabric is textile made using fibre from the stalk of the hemp plant. It can be used alone or blended with other fibres, so the final feel depends on yarn, weave, weight, blend and finish. See What Is Hemp Fabric?.
03Why does CULM work with hemp?+
CULM works with hemp for its tactile character, natural texture and suitability for clothing designed around repeated wear. We do not treat one fibre as a universal answer; exact composition and construction matter. Explore Why Hemp?
04Does hemp clothing get softer over time?+
Many hemp fabrics can become softer and more relaxed with wear and appropriate washing, but the result varies by cloth. Yarn, weave, blend, finishing and care all influence how a garment develops. Read the detailed guide.
05Is hemp the same as linen?+
No. Hemp and linen come from different plants. Both can be used as bast fibres, but their finished feel depends heavily on processing, spinning, weaving and finishing. See the CULM Fibre Guide.
06What does fibre composition tell me?+
Fibre composition tells you what the garment is actually made from and in what proportion. It helps distinguish pure hemp from blends and provides useful context for feel, care and performance. Product-specific composition should take priority over broad material language.
07What does CULM mean by traceability?+
Traceability means connecting a garment with information that can be verified about its materials and making. Depending on the product, that can include composition, batch, supplier or making information and care details. Read CULM Traceability.
08How should I care for a CULM garment?+
Follow the care label on the individual garment first. Blends, dyes, finishes and constructions can need different treatment, so garment-specific instructions are more reliable than one generic rule. See Care & Longevity.
09Can hemp clothing be machine dried?+
Only when the garment care label allows it. Drying method can affect shrinkage, texture and shape, so the instruction for the specific garment should come before generic advice.
10How do I choose my CULM size?+
Compare the product measurements with a garment you already own and like. Use the CULM Size & Fit Guide for measurement guidance before ordering.
11How long does CULM take to process an order?+
Orders are generally processed within 1–3 business days. Delivery time after dispatch depends on destination and courier service. The checkout or tracking estimate is the best current delivery guidance. See the Shipping Policy.
12Does CULM ship internationally?+
International availability depends on the destinations enabled at checkout. If your country is available, current shipping options and charges will be shown during checkout. Customs or import charges may depend on the destination.
13Can I return a CULM item?+
